Our Story
Our Story
We’re Nick and Brandy, the couple behind Florence Farmstead — a creative homestead grounded in slow, thoughtful work, deep connection to land and place, and a shared belief in making things with care.
In 2024, we left city life to begin a new chapter on 15 wooded acres in Monroe, Maine. Brandy is a painter whose work captures the landscapes, wildlife, and wild places that surround us — art born directly from the land we live on. Nick brings practical skill and problem-solving to the projects that shape and support our homestead and the wider community. Florence Farmstead is our shared vision — growing steadily, one painting and garden bed at a time.
Here, we’re learning what it means to live resourcefully, creatively, and with presence. We share the land with our three dogs, a cat, and abundant wildlife.
Thank you for being here. We hope you leave inspired to slow down, create with intention, and notice the quiet, meaningful moments that often matter most.
