Art Studio — Florence Farmstead

Hi, I'm Brandy Raymond, an artist based in Monroe, Maine. I paint the natural world - from wide open landscapes to the quiet details of the forest floor. Nature is where I find peace, and that feeling is at the heart of everything I create.

My process starts outside, just slowing down and paying attention. Back in the studio, I work from reference photos I've taken, but as a painting comes together I set them aside and let it become its own.

My work takes shape in a small quiet studio in Belfast, where a distant view of the bay finds its way through my window, and at our table in the yurt we call home in the Maine woods. Soon a dedicated studio will be built on our hillside, overlooking the forest and the stream below — where birdsong and running water will be part of every brushstroke.

Every piece begins in these spaces, shaped by the landscapes and quiet moments that define life here.
